A NOTE FROM THE ALLIANCE TO ALL CITIZENS

The Alliance member groups wish to remind you that this fight IS NOT OVER!
We mourn today, but every one of us remains firmly committed to
fighting this evil that has been thrust upon the people of Washington state
and beyond.

The back-door agreement that the Makah made with the Clinton-Gore
administration allows them to take up to FOUR more whales this year, and
FIVE more each year until 2002. Continuing this nightmare is unthinkable.
Vice-President Gore has as much blood on his hands this day as the
whale-killers of Neah Bay, and we will hold him responsible.

Even now, the fight is moving to a new level. But we can't
do it without your support. We ask you to take the information from these
updates and share it with your family, friends and associates. Together, we
will ultimately succeed in removing the scourge of whale-killing from the
waters of Washington state.We must beat back this scourge so our children
will not have to.
