Highway 112 and Burnt Mt. Road (a.k.a. Hwy 113). DeLorme Gazetteer p.91 C7
Go west on highway 112 from Port Angeles to the stop sign at highway 113, about 7 miles from Clallam Bay. Or coming from south, take highway 101 to highway 113 and go north about 10 miles to highway 112.
Bring signs and banners. The theme is "Boycott Neah Bay".

- Sunday, August 29th, 10 AM
Highway 112, at the top of the hill overlooking Snow Creek resort, just before the reservation border. DeLorme Gazetteer p.90 B4
Coming from Port Angeles, take Highway 112 (or 101 & 113) Clallam Bay and continue on highway 112 to just past mile marker 1.
Bring signs and banners.
Remember last year when Gary Locke spent $800,000 to send out the National Guard to protect the Makah from the protestors, only nobody showed up to demonstrate? This year it's our turn.

----------------------------------------

The area is one of the most beautiful in Washington. From the shore you can see gray whales, river and sea otters, sea lions, seals, and even the occasional killer whale. There is no excuse whatsoever for killing these creatures. The tribal council has disgraced the entire tribe with this farce.
From a Makah woman this spring before the hunt (name withheld): "Nobody wants to buy our baskets anymore because the dumb council wants us to kill whales. … The tribe is completely split apart because of this. … They never went to our elders and offered them cedar boughs and asked for guidance, they just went ahead and did it."

Gray whales are just the start: http://www.safepassing.org/govt/foia1_2.gif
If you have wanted to get involved, here is your chance.
